San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic: Jan 17 2012-- Robinson Cano's RC24 Foundation hosted a Press Conference at Tetelo Vargas Stadium in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. The RC24 Foundation  announced its partnership with the city of San Pedro de Macoris and its first major medical initiative: Ambulances for Life and Health.
 


This initiative will improve sustainably and forever the community healthcare of San Pedro de Macorís, the surrounding region and its children’s future. The RC24 Foundation also announced the donation of 8 ambulances to La Cruz Roja, La Defenca Civil and Los Bomberos. Additionally, The RC24 Foundation  announced a week-long education course in Emergency Medical Technician training in the local community taught by United States licensed Emergency Medical Technician trainers.

Statement made by Robinson :" It has been an honor for me to be able to supply my home town of San Pedro de Macoris with ambulances and school buses which will service many people in need. I thank god for blessing me so that I can continue to help others."
 
We are proud that Latino Sports was involved in starting the process to get these ambulances to Cano to take to the Dominican republic.
