Today is the last day to see one of the most impressive exhibits on the super star baseball player, Roberto Clemente who lost his life 37 years ago while in route to Nicaragua to take badly needed supplies to Nicaragua's earthquake victims. Clemente showed us what the true meaning of these holiday's is really about...

El Bronx, New York:  December 31st is not only the last day of the 2008 year, but is also the last day to se the 21 Days Of Clemente Exhibit that has been up in the Latino Sports CLUBHOUSE specialty shop since December 10th, 2008.

The exhibit is a combination of collectibles and other rare items of the legendary baseball player that lost his life on December 31st, 2001 while taking supplies to the victims of a devastating earthquake in Managua, Nicaragua.

It has been 37 years since that fatal New Year’s Eve night and many people still remember it as if it happened last year. It was one of the most impact full events to engulf an entire community that many can remember. Many grown up today can remember every detail of when and where they were when they heard the news of Clemente’s plane going down in the Atlantic ocean off the coast of san Juan, Puerto Rico minutes after take off.

In the last 21 Days many Clemente and non-Clemente fans have visited the CLUBHOUSE to see what many say is one of the largest collection of Clemente items that they have seen in the tri-state area.

The Latino Sports CLUBHOUSE is located at 424 Grand Concourse and will be opened from 12 PM to 7 PM.

Admission is FREE.
