Chapman Gives Up Solo Homer In Yanks Loss

on

Bronx, NY – Seeing Aroldis Chapman address the 11th inning game-winning home run he gave up to Seattle Mariners PH/3B Yonder Alonso in a 2-1 Yanks loss was one of the most painful moments I’ve ever witnessed at Yankee Stadium. Moments after he addressed the media, he sat in his chair with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

As Chapman appeared to be having an internal struggle, what else was there for him to do? He went out to the mound and pitched. While he was able to get the first two outs, it was the third and most important one that eluded him. With no runners on base, Chapman had a 2-1 count on Alonso. Unfortunately for Chapman, Alonso had his number. The End.

Baseball… For as beautiful as the game is, it’ll unmercifully rip your heart…
