Digicel NBA Jumpstart Basketball Clinics Returns To The Caribbean

Bronx, NY – It’s past 1:30pm and I’m at Yankee Stadium covering the second game between the New York Yankees (66-61) and Baltimore Orioles (70-58).

Last night, the Bronx Bombers took the first game as they humilated the Orioles, 14-4. Today’s pitcher’s duo is between Yanks RHP Chad Green (2-3) and Orioles RHP Dylan Bundy (7-4). In the bottom of the first, the Yanks lead Baltimore, 1-0.

Earlier in the game, Chad Green worked himself out of a bases loaded jam by striking out Orioles DH Pedro Alvarez. With an opportunity to strike first and score, the Yankees had to runners on base when Mark Teixeria rocketed a double off Bundy.

A runner scored and with plenty of baseball to be played, New York will have an opportunity to maintain their 1-0 advantage. Prior to the game, Latino Sports President, Julio Pabon, forwarded me this Media Release about the NBA’s partnership with Digicel.
