New York, NY – From November 10 – 17, America’s largest Documentary Festival, DOC NYC, returns for it’s seventh year. On Friday, I spent my morning at the IFC Center for the premiere of Rebbie Ratner’s documentary, BORDERLINE.

Located in the Greenwich Village, “the IFC Center is the ultimate entertainment space for New Yorkers seeking out the best in independent film. Opened in June 2005, the theater had followed an extensive renovation of the historic Waverly theater.”

If you’re a fan of documentaries, then this is the festival for you. Best part about the DOC NYC is that there’s a doucmentary for everyone. In my case, the reason I watched the documentary, BORDERLINE, was purely based out of curiosity.

Regardless of anyone’s diagnosis, they’re still a human being. As easy as it to observe and pass judgement of their behavior, the real understading comes in trying to see the world through their eyes. Whether we admit it or not, we want the acceptance of those whose attention and approval we’re trying win over. Maybe the best way to feel accepted is to accept everyone? With that said, I recommend you check out the documentary…
