Bronx, NY – The Bronx will always be my home.

Hours before the New York Cosmos eliminated New York City FC from the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, I walked around Fordham Road. With the East River Derby taking place Fordham University’s football stadium, Coffey Stadium, the Cosmos defeated NYCFC 1-0.

For the second straight year, the NYCFC has fallen to their East River Derby rivals. For the Cosmos, their hero of the match was Danny Szetela. In the 88th minute, he scored the game-winning goal of a spectacular header. For the Boys in Green, they will now face the MLS club, the New England Revolution on Wednesday, June 29 at St. John’s soccer stadium, Belson Stadium.

With that said, enjoy the photos!
