Macho Camacho Shot in Puerto Rico

Former Boxing Champion, Hector “Macho” Camacho was shot and is in critical, but stable condition in El Centro Medico hospital in Puerto Rico. The flamboyant Camacho, product of the mean streets of El Barrio was in an apparent shootout between two cars in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The incident occurred a few hours ago and the details are still screechy. One person in Camacho’s car was killed.

In his time, Camacho made every fight an attraction with his “Macho Time” statements. He was one of the few Latino boxers who did not allow the then King-Pin boxing promoter, Don King to take advantage of him and made off well financially. Unfortunately, after he retired, he had several incidents battling drug use problems and lost much of the money he had accumulated during his boxing career.
