ESPN Deportes 2014 Major League Baseball Coverage

ESPN Deportes will begin its 2014 coverage of Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Opening Night game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres March 30 at 8 p.m. ET. More than 80 regular-season games – 65 more games than last year – will air across the network’s platforms as part of a recent multiplatform rights extension agreement.

ESPN Deportes Television and ESPN Deportes+

  • ESPN Deportes will air 54 regular-season games every Sunday for Sunday Night Baseball at 8 p.m. ET and at least 25 Mondayand/or Wednesday night games. The network will also air the Home Run Derby taking place in Minnesota, Opening Night, Opening Day and holiday games.
  • ESPN Deportes +, the ESPN Deportes broadband network, will provide exclusive Spanish-language coverage of 30 MLB regular-season games.
  • Play-by-play and commentary will be provided by the network’s renowned baseball experts, including Oswaldo ‘Ozzie’ Guillen who returns to the network to serve as analyst for select Sunday Night Baseball games, alongside Ernesto Jerez (play-by-play) and Luis Alfredo Alvarez. Jerez and Alvarez will also cover Monday and Wednesday games. Guillermo Celis returns as the field reporter and Fernando Alvarez will serve as analyst for select games.
  • Beisbol Esta Noche, ESPN Deportes’ baseball news and analysis show, will provide viewers all sides of the argument every Sundayduring the regular season at 7:30 p.m. ET. Baseball expert Carolina Guillen and former MLB star Candy Maldonado return as hosts.
  • ESPN Deportes MLB coverage is also available on computers, smartphones, tablets, Apple TV, Xbox and Roku players via WatchESPN.

ESPN Deportes Radio

  • The radio network will broadcast 2014 regular-season games every Sunday night, starting with March 30’s Sunday Night Baseball gamebetween Dodgers and Padres at 7:30 p.m.
  • Coverage also includes the broadcast of The Home Run Derby and All-Stars Game in July, as well as the League Championship Series and the World Series in October.
  • All broadcasts will feature a 30-min pre-game show.
  • Eduardo Ortega, Renato Bermúdez and José Francisco Rivera will provide play-by-play and commentary for the radio audience.
  • ESPN Deportes New York 1050 will serve as the flagship radio station for the New York Mets.
