When the mound dust settles, he will be best remembered for one season, the 2009 Championship year and the 'dignified' Pie in the Face culture he promoted after a Walk-Off victory. Photo Bill Menzel Much has changed since AJ Burnett signed a five year contract with the New York Yankees for $82.5 million prior to the 2009 season. The high hopes held by Yankees management and fans have been dispelled by Burnett’s three disappointing seasons while wearing the pinstripes.

Victor makes a great role model for our youth. (Photo Bill Menzel) The football season might have ended with a great Superbowl Giant’s win over the New England Patriots, but Victor Cruz is still celebrating everywhere he goes. This is 2012 and we still have individuals who just don't get it. Racial comments against people of color, or against any race is not acceptable especially in sports where fans just want to escape from life's reality and be entertained. Several hours after the NY Knicks ended their Lindriven win streaks at 2:30 am ET ESPN ran an on line story with the title: "Chink in The Armor." The story was immediately referenced in a number of other social media platforms that expressed outrage and was removed at 3:05 am ET.

Deron Williams (r.) outplayed Jeremy Lin as the Nets topped the Knicks 100-92 at MSG Monday night. (AP Photo) NEW YORK – A scoreboard malfunction turned into an ominous sign of a night on the fritz for the hometown New York Knicks. At the end of the first quarter, the JumboTron above the Madison Square Garden hardwood failed to operate correctly – momentarily – as the scoreboards throughout MSG flashed a plus 100 hundred score for the Orange and Blue. Although the Knicks didn’t start that strong, they started strong enough, leading by three at the end of the first period before the New Jersey Nets and playmaker Deron Williams stole the show. Williams netted a season-high 38 points in a 100-92 New Jersey victory. For one night, the “Linsanity” took a backseat.
