Pinstripe Bowl: The 161st Street Business Improvement District Souvenir

Pinstripe Bowl 2015 ballBronx, NY – Indiana and Duke will be welcomed to The Bronx with free souvenirs, greetings on the Jeter Meter and friendly Youth Ambassadors, according to the local BID.

The 161st Street Business Improvement District is sponsoring the hospitality.

“We have a 90 year history of welcoming fans from everywhere, “ said the BID’s executive director, Dr. Cary Goodman. “ We’re delighted that people from Durham or Raleigh and Bloomington or Indianapolis will spend the holidays with us.”

The free souvenirs are mini-footballs printed with the teams, the date, and Pinstripe Bowl, Yankee Stadium.

The Youth Ambassadors will distribute the gifts in front of BID businesses along River Avenue and across 161st Street.

The Jeter Meter will be reprogrammed to read: Welcome Blue Devils and Hooosiers.

Two hundred children and teens from community groups will also attend the game courtesy of a Duke alumnus.

The 161st Street BID is one of 72 BIDs in NYC managed by the NYC Department of Small Business Services, Gregg Bishop, Commissioner.
