Will the U.S. National Team achieve greater success?

CHICAGO, Ill - After leading the United States to a memorable run in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, questions/rumors surfaced whether Bob Bradley would remain as the U.S. Men's National Head Coach.

Everything was made clear today when U.S. Soccer and Bob Bradley agreed to a contract extension. With the new extension, Coach Bradley will remain in charge through the end of 2014 and will have the opportunity to lead the U.S. Men's National Team to greater soccer success.

In the four years he's coached the USMNT, Coach Bradley has achieved a 38-20-8 record. With Coach Bradley, the U.S. team won the 2007 Gold Cup, reached the Championship match of the 2009 Confederations Cup after upsetting No. 1 ranked Spain 2-0, and earned a first place finish in the CONCACAF qualifying matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

In the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the United States was able to win their group for the first time ever in the 80 years of the tournament. With the success the U.S. team had in this year's World Cup, Coach Bradley will be expected to lead the team to greater success in Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
