New York, NY – I’ve been a fan of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since 1993. The excitement, anticipation and curiosity many of my high buddies experienced on the evening of the UFC 1.

As marveled as we were on how Royce Gracie submitted his opposition to win the 8-man tournament, we laughed at Art Jimmerson for only wearing one boxing glove before his submission loss to Gracie. It was also the night we were introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

It’s hard to believe how at one time, this beautiful and brutal sport was banned in thirty-six states. To this day, I still get goosebumps whenever I think about The Ultimate Fighter’s inaugural season and the classic finale fight between Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar. Let’s not forget, Dana White’s famous, “Do you want to be a fighter?,” speech.

Through this organization’s trial and tribulations, it has weathered several storms and managed to become a global sports brand. Along with becoming the brand that it’s become, it’s their fighters who inspired the lifestyle many of us who study and train in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). What was once considered barbaic, the UFC has evolved.

With that said, here’s the information regarding the upcoming UFC Fight Night…
