Bronx, NY – Tonight was not a good night for the Bronx Bombers.

When it’s said and done, the New York Yankees were overpowered 6-2 by the visiting Cleveland Indians. After scoring 10 runs against on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners, the Pinstripe offense only connected with the ball three times on Monday night.

For the Indians, they were lead by 2B José Ramírez who bested Yankees pitcher Luis Severino twice as he blasted his 19th and 20th home run of the season. Against the Yankees, Ramírez has a career batting average of .333 as he’s gone 28-for-84. Against Severino, he went 2-for-3.

For Luis Severino, his teammates had a case of the Mondays as the Pinstripes 1-6 batters went 0-for-22. No run support combined by three critical pitches Severino threw made the difference. Outside of the three home runs that he surrendered, Severino pitched an outstanding game.

In 6.2 innings, Severino pitched a four-hitter as he struck out nine batters in 108 pitches. The tragedy behind Severino’s pitching perfomance was the three pitches that lead to home runs. For Cleveland, they demonstrated why they’re in position for a possible return to the World Series. With this being a three-game series, both teams meet again tomorrow for their 7:05pm game. With that said, here’s some Fall activities that may interest you…
