I’ve come across several fans who are still questioning why Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens did not receive the votes to get into the baseball HOF in this recent election cycle, while David Ortiz did? I’ve had to explain that these are two separate issue. Both Bonds and Roger Clemens were implicated on Performance Enhancing Drugs, contrary to what some of these folks believed, David Ortiz was not.
David Ortiz was named in some early 2000 report, but never implicated. The fact is that David was never suspended for the use of any drug.
