We at Latino Sports commemorate today, March 8th, known as International Women’s Day. Some people might ask, What is International Women’s Day?
International Women’s Day is observed annually on March 8 and celebrates the global “social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women,” according to the International Women’s Day website. The day also calls for action to advance gender equality.
Latino Sports has always been proud to provide opportunities, or to cover the stories of women in sports. We are also proud to have our first female editor, Ms. Nicole Perez. We recognize an old Chinese proverb that say’s:
“Women Hold Up Half The Sky.”
