Cabo Rojo, PR: Today I learned that the town of Ponce, Puerto Rico will host the International Athletics Classic, formally known as the Ponce Grand Prix. The event has been confirmed for May 12, 2022 and will take place in the Francisco “Paquito” Montaner stadium.
The director and organizer, Mr. Víctor López confirmed the event and assured that all the preparations have been made to prepare the stadium for this international classic. He also confirmed that the event has already confirmed internationally known and recognized athletes, including five or six Olympic champions that competed in the Tokyo Olympics. Puerto Rican track star, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, winner of the Gold in the 100 hurdles jump as well as other Puerto Rican medal winners like Ryan Sánchez Estrada, Wesley Vásquez and Andres Arroyo specialist in the 800 meters.
Bahamian 400 meters star, Steven Gardiner and they are trying to confirm Olympic Champion, Yulimar Rojas winner of the Triple Jump.
