La Respuesta…: Su mejor temporada, antes de la de 2021, fue la primera suya en Grandes Ligas, 2016, cuando terminó con 5-2, 3.39. Su record sumado en los seis años de bigleaguer, 32-10, 3.09.
Hall de la Fama 2022.- Todas las votaciones del Hall de la Fama de Cooperstown son emocionantes, inquietantes, exigentes. Pero esta vez, vía elevaciones 2022, hay motivos muy notables para ser algo especial. Numerosas preguntas a responder.
¿Elevaremos a Alex Rodríguez, aún cuando confesó haber usado esteroides?
¿Elevaremos a David Ortiz, aún cuando usó esterorides, fue designado, y no se ha resuelto lo de sus heridas con arma de fuego, cuyo autor fue muerto recientemente, también a tiros, sin que tampoco se haya aclarado por qué lo mataron?
¿Elevaremos a Curt Schilling, aún después de sus protestas y bravatas contra los electores?
¿Elevaremos a Omar Vizquel, aún cuando recibió apenas menos de la mitad de los votos en la anterior elección, 49.1%, y aún cuando a la acusación de que golpeaba a su esposa, se suma ahora el caso pendiente del presunto acoso sexual contra un niño autista?.
¿Elevaremos a Bob Abreu, aún cuando se salvó por muy poco de quedar eliminado como candidato en la última elección?. Recibió 8.7%, y con menos del 5%, quedaba fuera.
¿Elevaremos a los de la ya vieja historia, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Manny Ramírez y Sammy Sosa?
Los 400 electores del caso tratamos de encontrar respuestas.
Los resultados serán dados a conocer el martes 25 de enero 2022, a las seis de la tarde, hora del este, por MLB Network; y la elevación será el domingo 24 de julio.
Es muy difícil ser elector. Para unos, los bateadores designados pueden ser elegidos, otros opinan lo contrario. Hay quienes no toman en cuenta que algún candidato sea sospechoso de tráfico de drogas y de pertenecer a las mafias que arreglan todo a tiros, pero a otros sí les importa. Algunos echan a un lado las agresiones domésticas y los acosos sexuales, y muchos consideran eso algo muy serio… Así es la vida… ¡Amanecerá y veremos!
