Eugenio Derbez Headlines Latino Filmmakers Network Launch of Latino Filmmakers House at Sundance to Celebrate 9th Anniversary

PARK CITY, UT — January 18, 2023 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — Actor, director, producer and studio owner Eugenio Derbez will headline the Latino Filmmakers Network (LFN) launch of the Latino Filmmakers House at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend. This is the ninth anniversary of LFN at Sundance.
Derbez and his 3pas Studios partner and producer Ben Odell will be joining LFN Saturday for an intimate fireside chat about their latest production Radical premiering Thursday, January 19th at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. The Latino Filmmakers House will serve as a central meeting place for filmmakers to network, and participate in panels and fireside chats throughout the world famous festival. It is the ninth consecutive year that the Latino Filmmakers Network has had a presence at Sundance, and its most ambitious programming ever.
“Having Eugenio with us demonstrates that representation matters and as a community it is important to show that we belong at Sundance, and will make our mark there and at many other places,” said LFN Founder Maylen Calienes. “Filmmakers are changemakers and I am proud that the Latino Filmmakers Network gets to be part of a positive change, bringing the community together and celebrating filmmakers at Sundance, while providing opportunities for filmmakers of all walks of life.”
As part of its commitment to Latino filmmakers, LFN is also hosting and housing several up-and-coming filmmakers, at no cost, to give them the opportunity to experience Sundance.
LFN PROGRAMMING OVERVIEW
In addition to the Derbez fireside chat, which is being sponsored by Nuestro Stories, LFN is hosting a series of talks in partnership with its sponsors Acura, Don Francisco’s Coffee, and Tito’s Vodka. Admission to the LFN events is complementary with RSVP via the LFN newsletter, which you can sign up for at www.LatinoFilmmaker.org . The panels listed below are available on a first come, first serve basis due to venue capacity.
