MIAMI, FL — September 24, 2024 - (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — The talented siblings Andy and Bárbara Muschietti will be inducted into the 2024 Hall of Fame, honoring their exceptional contributions to the Ibero-American and global creative industries. This recognition, presented by the International Advertising Association (IAA), celebrates the remarkable careers of the Argentine siblings, who have made a significant impact on horror cinema and audiovisual storytelling.
Daniel Marcet, CEO of FIAP, emphasized that "the Muschiettis embody the creative excellence that FIAP honors. Their legacy in global cinema makes them inspiring figures for future generations, and their induction into the Hall of Fame is well-deserved."
The duo has captivated audiences worldwide since their debut with Mama (2013), a film that marked the beginning of their ascent to the forefront of horror cinema. With It in 2017, an adaptation of Stephen King's work, the brothers shattered box office records and redefined the landscape of cinematic horror.
"Only the most exceptional and innovative minds are inducted into the FIAP Hall of Fame, and Andy and Bárbara Muschietti have demonstrated, through their storytelling prowess, that they belong in this esteemed group," added Marcet. This tribute highlights their influence not only on cinema but also on the development of new global narratives.
Alberto Fernández, president of the IAA LatAm, emphasized the significance of this recognition for the creative industry of Latin America: "The Muschietti brothers have successfully transcended the boundaries of advertising creativity to establish their own unique place in the collective imagination through their acclaimed film careers." Adding that this success inspires the industry to create global benchmarks and showcase the exceptional Ibero-American talent in film and advertising.
The Muschietti brothers will be delivering a Fireside Chat at AWLATAM 2024 on November 6 at 11:50 a.m. (Mexico time). During this conversation, they will discuss their perspective on "Building Universes: Lessons from Cinema for Advertising in the Transmedia Content Era," exploring how technology, digital consumption, and the convergence of industries have fundamentally reshaped the entertainment landscape.
The day will conclude with the FIAP Awards Gala, where the Muschietti brothers will be formally inducted into the 2024 Hall of Fame at 4:30 p.m. (Mexico time). This event will honor their contributions to cinema and the growing synergy between advertising and entertainment, as Fernández noted: "It is a celebration of the convergence of these two industries, which will help to solidify their conceptual, artistic, and professional connection."
The Ibero-American Hall of Fame, established by FIAP, is a prestigious institution that honors individuals who have made a lasting impact on culture, art, and communication. Since its inception, it has celebrated the most influential figures in the advertising and artistic realms, recognizing those who have shaped generations and set global standards.
With projects such as The Flash (2023) and The Electric State (2025), the Muschiettis continue to expand their creative legacy, showcasing their versatility and ability to adapt stories from diverse genres for the big screen.
The 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony will be a tribute to their work, inspiring future generations of creatives and storytellers, and acknowledging their pivotal role in the evolution of global cinema.
