Washington, D.C. — October 9, 2024 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — Leading up to the November 5th elections, HCN Global/La Red Hispana has launched Mano a Mano, a weekly political debate program that encourages US Latinos to participate in the political process during these crucial and historic presidential elections.
Mano a Mano is hosted in Spanish by veteran Mexican journalist José López Zamorano, who has over 30 years of experience on the issues of greatest importance to the Latino community in the United States. Every Thursday, Mano a Mano will gather prominent figures with opposing views, to discuss all the issues at stake for the Latino community in these elections, such as employment, health, immigration, reproductive rights, voter registration, and more.
Mano a Mano is part of the VOTEMOS campaign of La Red Hispana and 501c3 partner World Voices Media. The multi-media campaign will inform, motivate and mobilize potential voters to register and vote by mail or in person on November 5th.
“This could be the most important election in our lifetime. We have the responsibility to rise to the occasion and actively participate in this historic moment. Through VOTEMOS, we make it easier for Latinos to access all the resources they need to vote in this presidential election- be it finding accurate information on the issues at hand this election, registering to vote, or how to get involved in mobilizing their communities,” said Patricia Frausto-Rodríguez, campaign coordinator and Executive Director of World Voices Media.
Spanish continues to be an important means of communication for Latino audiences. About 4 out of 10 Latinos who voted did so based on information disseminated by Spanish-language media. La Red Hispana covers about 90% of all Hispanics in the United States every day through its radio affiliates, mobile app, digital platforms and social media channels. The public is encouraged to send questions and comments prior to Mano a Mano through our digital platforms and social networks.
Find Mano a Mano on La Red Hispana and LatinEQUIS on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram and on Nuestra Visión TV platforms nationwide.
