Inaugural Latina Entrepreneurship Day Conference Announced in Houston
— The Latina Entrepreneurship One-Day Conference will take place on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Iconic Hermann Park’s Lott Hall —
HOUSTON, TX — August 22, 2023 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — Houston Latina entrepreneurs, save the date. The Latina Leadership Podcast is bringing its first ever Latina Entrepreneurship Day Conference to Houston on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the iconic Hermann Park’s Lott Hall – located at 6201 Hermann Park Dr., Houston, TX 77030. The first annual Latina Entrepreneurship Day Conference will bring together over 100 Houston and Texas Latinas for a day of learning, collaboration, and community-building centered on the mission of creating solutions for Latinas, by Latinas.
The inaugural event is being held in honor of Latina Entrepreneurship Day in Houston, which was designated in 2022 through the presentation of a proclamation to the Latina Leadership Podcast by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner.
“We feel an incredible sense of responsibility to the community of Latinas who have been supporting us since day one, especially here in our hometown,” shared Anjelica Cazares, founder of the Latina Leadership Podcast, and one of its five regular co-hosts. “Latinas represent one of the fastest-growing segments of the U.S. population, as well as a majority of Latino businesses in operation today. Yet, so often we are still disconnected from being able to access the vital resources and information we need to be successful. Our goal is to change that!”
Since its inception in 2020, the Latina Leadership Podcast has sought to bridge the gap between aspirational Latinas without direct access to mentorship and representative leadership and those Latinas who have achieved success and a pathway to leadership. Through weekly video and audio podcasts that feature conversations with Latina leaders from across the United States, the national podcast has been able to bring these inspirational conversations and spoken experiences to all Latinas – on their listening or viewing platforms of choice.
To date, the Latina Leadership Podcast has hosted over 65 Latinas, including the first Latina in space, Ellen Ochoa, acclaimed singer and voice actress Adassa from the hit Disney movie Encanto, numerous corporate leaders, and everyday Latina entrepreneurs with empowering testimonials. Carolina Arenas, Sonia Ramirez, Jacqueline Villagomez, and Diana Rubi also serve as co-hosts on the Latina Leadership Podcast and their voices, along with each new guest, bring to life the true diversity of the Latina experience in this country.
The Latina Leadership Day Conference will feature keynote sessions, breakout workshops and fire side conversations curated meticulously by the Latina Leadership Podcast team. The intent is to serve the needs of the Latinas in the room in ways that truly move the needle for each entrepreneur. As well as to follow up with them throughout their journey after the event and into 2024 – ensuring that each Latina entrepreneur receives continual support throughout.
