ANAHEIM, CA — July 27, 2023 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — Northgate Market, the leading Mexican-themed grocery in Southern California, donated more than 1,000 care packages to Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). This initiative aims to uplift the spirits of children and their families, providing them with essential supplies and moments of joy during their hospital stay.
About 100 Northgate Market associates volunteered to assemble the care packages. Each backpack included various essential items, including plush animals, coloring books, crayons, puzzles, hygiene products, $25 gift cards to Northgate Market, and healthy snacks.
Miguel González, president of Northgate Market, said, "Northgate Market firmly believes in generously giving back to the communities that have supported us with their grocery shopping needs throughout the years. Our collaboration with the Children's Hospital of Orange County reflects our commitment to the well-being of children and their families during challenging times. The donation to CHOC also represents a collaborative effort by Northgate Market and its vendor partner Keurig Dr Pepper. "We sincerely thank Northgate Market and Keurig Dr Pepper for their incredible partnership and for joining us with our vision toward a cure and meaningful cancer survivorship,” said Andy Sigler, senior associate director of Corporate Engagement, CHOC Foundation.
