The Bean and Chisme Show Partners with TAMACC
— Shedding Light on Hispanic Issues Through Comedy —
SAN ANTONIO, TX — September 14, 2022 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — Popular content creators and Latino comics from The Bean & Chisme Show have announced a formal partnership with TAMACC, the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce.
Founded in 1975, TAMACC is a statewide nonprofit 501(c)(6) organization created to promote business leadership, create economic opportunities, and provide legislative advocacy for the Hispanic business community in Texas. This new partnership kicks off during the same week that starts the 2022 celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
“We have been friends and supporters of TAMACC since June of last year and TAMACC has been supportive of us,” said the Executive Producer of The Bean and Chisme Show Samantha Najera. “It did not take long for us to discover how much our organizations had in common. TAMACC promotes the Hispanic community through legislative advocacy, leadership development, education, and commerce. This season The Bean and Chisme Show will be addressing many of the same issues through comedy.”
As The Bean and Chime Show enters its third season with live web shows, their partnership with TAMACC allows both organizations to have an additional venue to discuss important topics that impact the Latino community. “By partnering, coordinating content, and messaging, The Bean and Chisme Show will use comedy to initiate and stimulate conversations about issues that are often ignored,” said Najera.
“TAMACC represents and is an advocate for the over 800,000 Hispanic-owned businesses in the state of Texas,” said TAMACC Executive Vice-Chair J.R. Gonzales. “We believe that the use of humor for issue-driven commentary about the Latino experience is the kind of out-of-the-box approach that will get more people to pay attention and talk about things they have the power to change.”
The combining of the two organizations’ resources and talent will yield cutting-edge approaches to telling the Latino story from a Latino perspective. “We look forward to co-producing content with The Bean and Chisme cast and have fun doing it,” said Gonzales.
During Hispanic Heritage Month, Najera will host three “platicas” (conversations) around the status of Latinos in Hollywood, Voting, and Latinos in Business. These platicas will be live on the Bean and Chisme Facebook and YouTube Channels. These live episodes will air at 7:00 pm Central Time on September 15, September 29, and October 13, 2022.
