Por ejemplo, los propietarios exigen agentes libres solo después de los 29 y medio años de edad, mientras los peloteros proponen que sea después de haber jugado en tres temporadas. Actualmente, para declararse agentes libres tienen que haber jugado en no menos de seis campañas.

Pero el caso más sonado ha sido el de uno de los mejores outfielders de su época, el centerfielder de los Dodgers, Willie Davis, en el segundo juego de la Serie Mundial de 1966, frente a los Orioles. Fueron tres errores, no en un juego, sino en dos jugadas consecutivas. Aquella tarde, del seis de octubre en Los Ángeles, durante el quinto inning, Davis no pudo capturar fly de Paul Blair, quien llegó a segunda; el siguiente bateador, Andy Etchebarren, también elevó por los predios de Davis, y tampoco pudo capturar (dos errores), entonces tiró por encima de la cabeza del tercera base, por lo que anotaran Boog Powell y Blair (tercer error).
Davis explicó que las dos pelotas se le perdieron en el sol. Ganó Báltimore ese juego, 6-0. Y la Serie en cuatro fechas.

Amigo Pepe…: Los bigleaguers tienen consejeros económicos, quienes les indican cómo invertir su dinero para pagar menos Impuestos. Y por barajitas, souvenirs más apariciones en anuncios comerciales, ganan más de lo que se llevan los Impuestos. Por lo que 20 millones, son mas de 20 millones al final.
Y no reciben nada por el HOF.
