Here is another reason why Juan Soto signed with the Mets, instead of staying with the Yankees:
Juan asked Hal Steinbrenner for a suite during games at Yankee Stadium. He replied no, because Derek Jeter and Aaron Judge have always paid for theirs.
A suite in that park, during a season, can cost between 500 thousand dollars and a million. The price is different, depending on the game… Listen! That means almost nothing, when they were talking about a contract for more than $700 million.
The owner of the Mets, Steve Cohen, not only agreed to give Soto the suite, but he allowed him to choose the one he wanted, the one he preferred.
A suite includes 16 tickets for each game, food, drinks and first class service.
George Steinbrenner would have given Juan Soto two or even more suites.
Cohen signed the Dominican for 15 seasons, for $765 million, plus $75 million as a bonus, totaling $800+ million. The Yankees offered him $760 million for 15 years, without a bonus. The difference: $80 million and the suite. As they say.
I mean, even without a suite, Juan would have chosen Citi Field!

O sea, ¡hasta sin suite hubiera preferido Juan a Citi Field!
