Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh is flying toward the record Salvador Pérez surpassed by Johnny Bench for most home runs in a season by a catcher, which was 45. The mark stands at 48 as of 2021. With four months until October, Raleigh has already struck out 23 balls. Salvador has only hit four home runs this year.
