Television promotes soccer, but baseball is bigger and better.
Coral Gables, Florida (VIP WIRE) – The only country in the world where top-level professional baseball is played 12 months a year is Mexico. The Mexican Summer League (AAA) and the Pacific Winter League maintain activity from January to December.
But, in addition, 12 other leagues play throughout the country: Northern Sonora League, Río League, Northern League, Chihuahua State League, Northern Coahuila League, Laguna Major League, Nayarit Winter League, Mexican Winter League, Veracruz State League, Veracruz Winter League, Tabasco League, Peninsular League, and Meridiana Winter League.
These leagues are federated and hold a convention every year.

The Arrival of Baseball in Mexico

LA Llegada del Beisbol a México
Ahora, el comienzo de toda la fiesta ocurrió cuando apenas se estrenaban las primeras Reglas en Nueva York. Las escritas por Alexander Cartwright, del equipo los Knickerbockers, y estrenadas en junio de 1846. Pues, al año siguiente, 1847, a fines de abril, se jugó beisbol en el Parque Los Berros.

Esta Liga y la del Pacífico, ha progresado mucho por el entusiasmo de una serie de caballeros que realmente han amado al beisbol en todas sus formas.
Y entre esa gente destaca una novena de figuras extraordinarias.
