Regrettable Season-Ending Injuries – Lamentables Lesiones de Toda la Temporada

Dreaming is productive… Nothing significant has ever come to fruition without someone first dreaming it… Steven Spielberg.

Coral Gables, Florida (VIP-WIRE) – There are still those who write and don’t include their location. Of course, I can’t answer them. But, as every Wednesday, today is Mail Day.

Oswaldo Di Giorgi, from Buenos Aires, says: “Very sad about what is happening in Venezuela.” And he asks: “What has happened to Anthony Santander? Is he still injured?”

Dear friend DiGi: On February 10th, the doctors said he would need about six months to begin training, due to his hip surgery. So it’ll be a matter of August.

Andrés Abreu V. from Mexico City asks: “What restaurants and baseball-related places can I visit in New York, besides the stadiums on game days?”

Dear friend Double A friend: You can visit the Hall of Fame. By plane, of course, is the fastest way. From LaGuardia Airport, it’s about 40 minutes. But the road is very nice and comfortable; 193 miles, you can do it, little by little, in about four and a half hours. You’ll spend about $40 on gas.

The most sports-themed restaurant is Gallagher, founded in November 1927. They specialize in steaks. Citi Field and Yankee Stadium offer tours of their facilities when there are no games. Let me know how it goes.

Carjul Robillo, from San Pedro de Macorís, asks: “What’s going on with Jorge Polanco? Why isn’t he playing?”

Dear friend Car: At 32 years old and after 12 years in the Major Leagues with the Twins and Mariners, Jorge signed with the Mets for 2026 and 2027 for $40 million. He was going to be the starting first baseman, replacing Pete Alonso, who left as a free agent.

But just as the season began, on April 18, the Dominican had to go on the injured list with two injuries: a contusion on his right wrist and bursitis in his left Achilles tendon. The trainers said yesterday that he still can’t play because that ankle hurts.

Thanks to life, which has given me so much, including a reader like you.
