Why do you think baseball is better with gamblers and gambling company owners?
I hope you’ll answer me as I asked, publicly and respectfully.
I made our game better that way, inundated by that. You’ve done everything possible to put aside the disgust with which it has been treated, since the eight White Sox sold to gamblers in the 1919 World Series.
Because of that, the position of Commissioner of Baseball was created, and I was the first, until November 25, 1944, when I came to this Here After that you call Beyond. They were going to renew my contract for seven more years.
For 24 years, my mission was to end gambling in baseball. I fully succeeded. They treated it with profound disgust. And now you’re resurrecting them, even overturning a ban in place for more than a century. Major League Baseball wasn’t allowed in Las Vegas, since the big business in that city, almost the only one, is the casinos. It’s called the Sin Capital of the World.
Well, the Athletics will move to that city in 2028. They’re building a stadium on the site of a famous casino.

In a newspaper that previously published: “Our reporters consider this team the favorite to win the World Series,” they published three days ago: “World Series: Bookmakers give them 5 games… Dodgers favorites to beat the Blue Jays.”
At the Puerto La Cruz stadium, there’s a huge billboard behind home plate that says: Apuestas Royals.com (betting site).
The New York Mets owner Steven A. Cohen, a gambler since his high school years, is building two casino buildings on the land formerly occupied by Shea Stadium. That is, next to City Field.
Please observe the infamous disaster that basketball has suffered because of gamblers.
If the spectacle, the sport, and the business of baseball have been successful everywhere it’s played, why make it available to gamblers?
What’s itching you, where’s the itch that has led you to take such an interest in it?

¿Por qué cree que el beisbol es mejor con los apostadores y los propietarios de las empresas de apuestas?
Espero me responda como se lo pregunto, pública y respetuosamente.
Creé a nuestro juego mejor así, inundado por eso. Ha hecho todo lo posible por echar a un lado el asco con que se les ha tratado, desde los ocho Medias Blancas vendidos a los apostadores en la Serie Mundial de 1919.
Por ese hecho, crearon la figura del Comisionado de Beisbol, y fui el primero, hasta el 25 de noviembre de 1944, porque me vine a este Más Acá que Uds. llaman Más Allá. El contrato me lo iban a reanudar por siete años más.
Durante 24 años, mi misión fue acabar con las apuestas en el beisbol. Lo logré plenamente. Se les trataba con profundo asco. Y Ud. ahora las resucita, hasta echando por tierra una prohibición vigente por más de un Siglo. No se aceptaban Grandes Ligas en Las Vegas, ya que el gran negocio en esa ciudad, casi el único, son los casinos. Es llamada La Capital Mundial del Pecado.
Pues, los Atléticos se mudarán para esa urbe en 2028. Les construyen un estadio en el terreno donde hubo un famoso casino.
¿Cuál cree Ud. que será el negocio. principal de ese equipo?.
Es que el relajo patrocinado desde sus oficinas, ha sido horrible, desesperante, absurdo, peligroso.
En un periódico que antes publicaba: “Nuestros reporteros consideran que tal equipo es favorito para ganar la Serie Mundial”, publicaron hace tres días: “Serie Mundial: Las Casas de Apuestas los dan en 5 juegos… Dodgers favoritos para vencer a los Azulejos”.
En el estadio de Puerto La Cruz hay una enorme valla tras el home que dice: Apuestas de Royals.com.
El propietario de los Mets, Steven A. Cohen, quien es apostador desde sus años de high school, construye dos edificios para casinos, en el terreno que ocupaba Shea Stadium. O sea, al lado del City Field.
Por favor, observe el infame desastre que sufre el básquetbol por culpa de los apostadores.
Si el espectáculo, el deporte y el negocio del beisbol, han sido exitosos en todos los sitios donde se juega, ¿por qué ponerlo a disposición de los apostadores?
¿Qué es lo que le pica, dónde tiene la comezón que lo ha llevado a tanto interés por eso?
