PHILADELPHIA, PA — Phillies pitcher Jesús Luzardo is inviting fans to join him on Thursday, June 18, for Luzardo’s Cheesesteaks for Charity, a special event taking place before and during that night’s 6:40 p.m. game against the New York Mets at Citizens Bank Park.
Hosted by the Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation and in partnership with Campo’s and Aramark Sports + Entertainment, the event will benefit The Nemours Foundation, helping advance its mission to improve the health and well-being of children.
Fans can make an impact simply by enjoying a favorite ballpark staple. Throughout the game, a portion of all cheesesteaks purchased at Campo’s in Ashburn Alley will go directly toward the cause. As an added thank you, those who donate will receive a voucher for a special ticket discount to a future Phillies game.

The evening will also feature a unique opportunity for fans to meet with Luzardo. Those who make a $44 donation can take a photo with No. 44 from 5:00–6:00 p.m. at the Citizens Ballpark Banker kiosk in The Yard.
Representatives and families from The Nemours Foundation are also expected to be on-site, adding to the evening’s community-focused impact.
“Anytime I can help support kids and their families, it means a lot to me,” said Luzardo. “Nemours does such important work making sure children get the care they need, and I’m grateful we can team up with our fans to support that mission.”
Luzardo’s Cheesesteaks for Charity showcases the left-hander’s continued commitment to using his platform to make a difference in the community, supporting youth-focused initiatives both in Philadelphia and beyond.
