CABO ROJO, PR – Puerto Ricans here on the island and in the mainland as well as many Carlos Beltrán baseball fans were a bit disappointed that he did not make the National Baseball HOF class of 2025. However, with over 70% in the last vote, Beltrán will be the ex-player with the greatest chances of entering the HOF in the next round in 2026.

But check this out! There is a possibility that Puerto Rico could have three, yes three players in the HOF Baseball class of 2026.
Why and how?
The veterans committee has already announced that the names of Carlos Delgado and Bernie Williams will be among the candidates to be considered for inclusion in the hall of immortals for 2026.

Certainly, these three great Boricua players have the statistics and their numbers don’t lie. They have numbers comparable to other members of the hall and therefore should be considered.
Beltrán’s near-induction in 2025, with over 70% of votes, signals strong support among the voters, and his chances look very promising for 2026.
- Carlos Delgado: A consistent power hitter with over 400 home runs and two Silver Slugger awards, Delgado was one of the most feared hitters of his era.
- Bernie Williams: Known for his postseason heroics, Williams was a key figure in the Yankees’ late-90s dynasty, winning four World Series and earning a batting title and five Gold Gloves.
If all three are inducted, Cooperstown might indeed transform into a celebration of Puerto Rican pride and culture, a day for the history books!
