BROOKLYN, NY — Some of life’s most simple pleasures are beaches, boardwalks and baseball.
In the span of just three hours, you can find and enjoy all three at Maimonides Park, the home of the Brooklyn Cyclones, an easy walk from Coney Island Beach. With fans of all ages energized by cheerleaders, and mascots on site, the Cyclones—the High-A East and High-A affiliate of the New York Mets—are creating a new adventure for spectators across the Tri-state area.
And for players on the field, working their way up the ranks, they are showing out.

On Thursday night, as the Cyclones hit missile after missile, defeating the Winston-Salem Dash, 8-1, the production and vibes out of Brooklyn’s dugout were unmatched. The same could be said from the 2,789 in attendance.
While the home team celebrated and continued to celebrate throughout the evening, all nine Cyclones who stepped up to the plate recorded at least one hit.
Second baseman Andy Ibáñez (Havana, Cuba), left fielder Yonatan Henriquez (Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic), catcher Daiverson Gutiérrez (Caracas, Venezuela), and first baseman Chase Meggers, each stood out with multi-hit games as did Emilio Obispo (San Cristobal, Dominican Republic), striking out five Dash batters in a row and eight total.

A solid outing in the 19-year-old’s first career start at High-A, setting a new career high in strikeouts.
Obispo had earned the call up to High-A following 14 Single-A appearances in 2026 with the St. Lucie Mets, where he went 5-2 over 53.1 innings with a 2.03 ERA and 54 strikeouts.

Thanks to the Cyclones displaying their power at the plate and Obispo dominating on the mound, there was an undeniable sense of joy soaring through the air Thursday night that one can only experience in Brooklyn.
So if you’re looking for some fun to be had for the entire family this summer, Maimonides Park is definitely the place you want to be with the Cyclones scheduled for 13 more home games after this weekend—August 11th-16th vs. the Jersey Shore BlueClaws and September 1st-6th vs. the Frederick Keys.
