The 60th edition of the prestigious race will take place on March 6, after it was held virtually last year due to the impact of the pandemic
After being postponed for a month, the 60th edition of the San Blas de Coamo Half Marathon will finally run on March 6 with the participation of international runners, as well as national athletes and the hundreds of joggers who give shape and color to this eveent. As of today, Thursday, there are 730 runners registered for the run that will have its starting shot at 7:00 a.m., according to the organizers.
Last year, San Blas was held virtually due to the pandemic. Initially, this edition was going to be held on February 6, but the impact of the omicron variant forced the change of date. And the executive order, back then, also didn’t allow more than 250 people in the race.
The 60th edition will be dedicated to Mr. Julio Larrauri, the first president of the San Blas organizers, as well as to Eligio Olivieri, who was its treasurer. The starting shot will be in charge of the former director of the race, José Tomás ‘Cheto’ Rojas.
