Tenía tremendas condiciones, pero la farándula de Nueva York le gustó más que el beisbol, y a ella se dedicó. Por eso, pronto en Flushing, decidieron salir de él, lo dieron en un cambio y se acabó. Lamentable fracaso de uno que pudo tener una carrera culminada en el Hall de la Fama.
