Bronx, NY: There is hardly a week and days left to start the regular season of Mayor League Baseball (MLB 2022), but with the movements of the market, it is already possible to visualize which are the best formed teams and with the greatest opportunity to reach the championship goal.
Here I present the 8 teams with the most possibilities from my point of view.
* Houston Astros
The loss of Carlos Correa is a sensitive loss for the group led by Dusty Baker, but they still have the tools to fight to be back in the World Series. A lineup formed by José Altuve, Alex Bregman, Michael Brantley, Kyle Tucker. Yordan Alvarez and Yuli Gurriel can’t be underestimated, especially when veteran Baker is on the bench and ace Justin Verlander is back in good form. Framber Valdez and José Urquidy will be key in the rotation. This offseason, the Astros signed shortstop Niko Goodrum and added Hector Neris to the bullpen.
*Chicago White Sox
The White Sox had high hopes for their young roster in 2021, but injuries kept them from showing their full potential. This year they continue betting on Luis Robert and Eloy Jiménez and they hope that José Abreu, the 2020 MVP, will be the protagonist again and Yasmani Grandal will wake up with the wood. The rotation looks solid despite the departure of Carlos Rodón, with Lance Lynn, Lucas Giolito, Dylan Cease and veteran Dallas Keuchel. Tony La Russa will remain on the bench and they added an interesting piece to the bullpen with the signing of veteran Joe Kelly.
* Toronto Blue Jays
Vladimir Guerrero Jr, already warned that his brilliant performance last year was just an appetizer. For this season, the Dominican will continue to command a lineup that has several pieces to disturb the rival pitching, with George Springer, Bo Bichette, Teoscar Hernández and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. in stellar plan, now accompanied by newcomer third baseman Matt Chapman. The most interesting acquisitions of the Canadian troop were for the starting staff, with the signing of Kevin Gausman and Yusei Kikuchi, who will join Puerto Rican José Berríos, Korean Hyun Jin-Ryu and 2021 sensation Alek Manoah.
* Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox already had a well-assembled team to contend for the title in 2022, having narrowly missed out on another World Series in Alex Cora’s triumphant return to the bench last year. But the recent announcement of the signing of shortstop Trevor Story gives the Red Sox another level, they brought back Jackie Bradley Jr. to armor up the outfield defense and have a respectable offense with Rafael Devers, Xander Bogaerts, J.D. Martinez, Enrique Hernandez and Alex Verdugo. Chris Sale is injured again, but Nathan Eovaldi says he’s ready to take on the ace role in a rotation that also features Nick Pivetta, Rich Hill and Michael Wacha.
* Los Angeles Dodgers
There is no doubt that the hiring of Freddie Freeman raised the Dave Roberts-led team’s lineup to another level, and that he now has a lethal offense. Freeman joins Mookie Betts, Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy and Justin Turner to sow terror in the rival pitching and allow the Dodgers to get among the favorites to play the World Series. Clayton Kershaw is back in the starting rotation to lead a group that includes Julio Urias, Walker Buehler and newcomer Andrew Heaney. The bullpen has Blake Treinen and Brusdar Graterol as the stars.
* New York Mets
At least on paper, the Mets are the enemy to beat in the 2022 season. Just take a look at their starting rotation with Jacob deGrom, Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt at the helm, a reinforced bullpen with the signing of Adam Ottavino and a flawless lineup with Francisco Lindor at shortstop. Pete Alonso in first, Eduardo Escobar in third and the return of veteran Robinson Canó in second. Brandon Nimmo continues in some renovated gardens with the signing of Starling Marte and Mark Canha. Buck Showalter’s experience as a manager also gives them a plus.
New York Yankees
They may not have made the big moves the fans expected, but the front office responded to many of the needs of the Aaron Boone-led team. The trade that brought in third baseman and 2015 MVP Josh Donaldson and shortstop Isiak Kiner-Falefa was the highlight, but they also signed four-time Gold Glove winner Anthony Rizzo to take over at first. In New York they cross their fingers to see another good season from Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, they pray to see DJ LeMahieu and Aaron Hicks recovered and Luis Severino in good position to assume his role as second in the rotation after Gerrit Cole, while Jameson returns Taillon.
* Atlanta Braves
The Braves mourn the departure of Freedie Freeman, their first baseman for 12 years, but they wasted no time mourning and making moves to ensure they go for their second straight World Series title. In recent days, they made a big acquisition by trading (and subsequent multimillion-dollar extension) first baseman Matt Olson and also snapping up closer Kenley Jansen and another reliever, Collin McHugh, as well as bringing back outfielder Eddie Rosario. His Venezuelan star Ronald Acuña Jr. will be available as designated hitter in the first weeks of the tournament and will jump to the outfield in May.

favoritos para ganar la Serie Mundial MLB 2022
Apenas falta una semana y dias para iniciar la temporada regular de Béisbol mayoral ( MLB 2022), pero con los movimientos del mercado ya se puede ir visualizando cuales son los equipos mejor conformados y con mayor oportunidad de alcanzar la meta.
Aquí les presento los 8 equipos con más posibilidades desde mi punto de vista.
* Astros de Houston
La pérdida de Carlos Correa es una baja sensible para el grupo dirigido por Dusty Baker, pero todavía tienen herramientas para pelear por estar de vuelta en la Serie Mundial. Un lineup formado por José Altuve, Alex Bregman, Michael Brantley, Kyle Tucker. Yordan Álvarez y Yuli Gurriel no se puede menospreciar, menos cuando el veterano Baker está en el banquillo y el as Justin Verlander está de vuelta en buena forma. Framber Valdez y José Urquidy serán clave en la rotación. En este receso de campaña, los Astros firmaron al torpedero Niko Goodrum y sumaron a Héctor Neris al bullpen.
*Medias Blancas de Chicago
Los Medias Blancas tenían grandes expectativas con su joven plantel en la campaña de 2021, pero las lesiones les impidieron mostrar todo su potencial. Este año siguen apostando por Luis Robert y Eloy Jiménez y esperan que José Abreu, el MVP de 2020, vuelva a ser protagonista y Yasmani Grandal despierte con el madero. La rotación luce sólida pese a la salida de Carlos Rodón, con Lance Lynn, Lucas Giolito, Dylan Cease y el veterano Dallas Keuchel. Tony La Russa seguirá en el banquillo y sumaron una pieza interesante al bullpen con la firma del veterano Joe Kelly.
* Azulejos de Toronto

Para esta temporada el dominicano seguirá al comando de un lineup que tiene varias piezas para inquietar al pitcheo rival, con George Springer, Bo Bichette, Teoscar Hernández y Lourdes Gurriel Jr. en plan estelar, ahora acompañados por el recién llegado antesalista Matt Chapman. Pete Alonso en primera, Eduardo Escobar en tercera y el regreso del veterano Robinson Canó en la segunda. Brandon Nimmo sigue en unos jardines renovados con la firma de Starling Marte y Mark Canha. La experiencia de Buck Showalter como manager también les da un plus.
Yankees de Nueva York
Tal vez no hicieron los grandes movimientos que la afición esperaba, pero la gerencia dio respuesta a varias de las necesidades del equipo dirigido por Aaron Boone.
