Coral Gables, Florida (VIP-WIRE) – Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is as good as he is to stay in charge, or so bad that he deserves to be fired?
The fellow “Los Angeles Times”, Houston Mitchell, did a poll, under the question…: “Should Dave Roberts stay or go?”.
Well, no one has said at the Dodgers Stadium offices that they will send the man elsewhere.
But Houston believes his mistakes prevented the team from making it to the World Series.
He received 68 thousand 493 responses, 71.6% said they should keep him at the head of the club, only 28.4% think they should throw him out.
Houston then, also opined …:
“Of course, he should continue to be the manager of the Dodgers. Some decisions have been criticized. There are those who are not his admirers, because he has such a good team that he has had the luxury of having Julio Urías and Max Scherzer in the bullpen for emergency situations.
“If you look at what most of the fans of other teams say, you find that they blame their managers for everything bad that happens to them, even when they have the worst roster in the league.”

El compañero “Los Ángeles Times”, Houston Mitchell, hizo una encuesta, bajo la pregunta…: “Should Dave Roberts stey or go?”.
Bueno, nadie ha dicho en las oficinas del Dodgers Stadium, que mandarán al hombre a otra parte.
Pero Houston cree que errores suyos impidieron el pase del equipo a la Serie Mundial.
Recibió 68 mil 493 respuestas, el 71.6% dijo que debían mantenerlo al frente del club, solo el 28.4% opina que deben botarlo.

“Desde luego, sí debe seguir siendo el mánager de los Dodgers. Le han criticado algunas decisiones. Hay quienes no son sus admiradores, porque tiene tan buen equipo que se ha dado el lujo de contar en el bullpén con Julio Urías y Max Scherzer, para situaciones de emergencia.
“Si se revisa lo que dice la mayoría de los seguidores de otros equipos, uno encuentra que le achacan a sus mánagers todo lo malo que les ocurre, aún cuando tengan el peor róster de la Liga”.
“Ahora, si vamos a salir de Roberts, hay una pregunta muy importante para responder…: ¿Quién lo va a reemplazar?…
“Y no me digan que Mike Scioscia, porque eso no va a ocurrir. La vieja escuela del estilo de Scioscia no funciona en el beisbol de estos días. Ya los mánager no controlan la mayor parte de lo que ocurre en el campo.
Incluso, en la mayoría de los equipos, ni siquiera hacen la alineación. Las hace un comité de peloteros y coach, en el cual el mánager tiene voz y voto. Y al mánager le informa el comité acerca de cuál relevista domina mejor a cuál bateador.
“Pues, si salimos de Roberts, ¿con quien lo sustituimos? No hay ninguno disponible que sea menos malo o mejor que él.
“Su record habla por sí solo. Imagínense ser fanático de los Piratas o de los Orioles y oír a los seguidores de los Dodgers protestar por su mánager. Los Dodgers ganaron 106 juegos este año, por encima de las lesiones y del horrible año de Cody Bellinger. Demos crédito a Roberts.
“Les garantizo que si Roberts es despedido, no menos de 25 equipos lo llamarían ofreciéndole la dirección.
“Cierto, Robert no es perfecto y a veces, toma decisiones frustrantes. Pero, si estudiamos la historia, él debe permanecer en su puesto. Algún día ya no dirigirá a los Dodgers, pero hoy no es ese día”.
