Oscar F. Loustaunau D. de Hermosillo, pregunta…: “¿Algún lanzador de Grandes Ligas ha tirado más de un juego sin hits, permitiendo carreras; y cuál es receptor que ha recibido más juegos sin incogibles?”
Amigo Lou…: 15 lanzadores han permitido carreras en juegos sin hits que han ganado, pero ninguno más de una vez. Ahora, hubo uno que lanzó nueve innings sin incogibles y perdió, 1-0.
Fue Ken Johnson, de los Colt 45 de Houston. El 23 de abril de 1964, frente a los Rojos, llegó al noveno inning cero hit cero carreras. El siguiente se anotó infield hit. Tres en bases, tres hits, dos outs. El hombre al bate entonces, puso rodar la bola la cual golpeó a uno de los corredores. Ese corredor fue así out por Regla, pero al bateador se le acreditó hit. Cuatro hit, cero careras.
Mario de La Cruz, de Guadalajara, informa…: “Hay paz en el beisbol de La Perla Tapatía. Sobreviven los Charros, que ahora son propiedad legal de la familia González Íñigo. Armando Navarro y Salvador Quirarte se han resignado a quedar fuera del equipo, en bien del beisbol jaliciense. Los nuevos propietarios les pagaron el valor de sus acciones.
