Scottsdale, AZ: While here in the Colorado training facilities waiting to interview the 2020 NL LatinoMVP Reliever Alex Colomé and Germán Marquez a candidate for the 2021 LatinoMVP Pitcher I learned that Raimel Tapia was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays. Tapia learned of the trade today and had this quick press conference before departing to Toronto.
I am a bit sad to hear that I was traded because I have some time here with Colorado. I have close friends here that I appreciate having. However, I appreciate the confidence they (Colorado) had in me to bring me up and start my career here in the majors. I will go there (Toronto) where I was traded and give them all I can.
I am always prepared for everything. I was not surprised it was just another step in my career. I will go to Toronto and do what I do best, get hits, use my speed, steal bases contribute in any way I can. I do know a few players there in Toronto, Dominican Vladimir Guerrero and a few others.
Going to a team that might win? I feel good about that. That’s a good team that will compete and I will go there to give all I got to help them go to the playoffs and win a championship.
