Chide friend …: 1) Do not take into account the itchy asses of so much itching in the black, back and smelly stripe. Our MLBWAA, founded on October 14, 1908, 113 years ago, is considered by the commissioner’s office, by the Major League Players Association and by the Hall of Fame, as one of the most respectable, highly deserving baseball organizations, for it’s honesty and seriousness in every mission we undertake. Regarding me, I received a Tribute before the United States Congress in 1997, for my work in favor of relations between journalists and baseball people from the United States and Latin America.
2) I have interviewed more than 50, including Mickey Mantle, Pedro Martínez, Luis Aparicio, Roberto Clemente, Iván Rodríguez, Roberto Alomar, Juan Marichal, Mariano Rivera, Johnny Bench, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Willie Mays, Tony Oliva, Orestes Minoso, Sandy Koufax, Hank Aaron, Randy Johnson.
3) The Negro Leagues played 10 World Series, 1924-1927 and 1942 and 1947.
Luis Rojas, from Carora, asks …: “Designated hitters elevated to the Hall of Fame, and consider that Bob Abreu, do you believe he has the merits to be chosen?”
Friend Lucho …: There have been two, Frank Thomas and Edgar Martínez … And no, Abreu does not deserve such honors.
Amaury Curriel W. from Los Mochis, asks …: “Do you think shortstops Willie Miranda and José Valdivielso would have played in the Major Leagues now?”
Friend Mauro …: They would not have played. Willie hit 222 in nine seasons, through 1959; and José, in five years, for 219, until 1961.
Santiago M. Gutiérrez, from Caracas, asks…: “I’m very young, so I didn’t see Hank Aaron play. Is it true that he hardly took the swing, and that he batted all wrists? ”
Friend Chago …: Yes he did the swing, but, apparently, without much force. His greatest power was in his wrists, which he moved in a very special way.

Alcides Revilla, de Judibana, pregunta…: “¿Qué opina de quienes despotrican de la Major League Baseball Writers Association of América (MLBWAA)?… ¿A cuáles integrantes del Hall de la Fama ha entrevistado Ud?… ¿Cuántas Series Mundiales se jugaron en las Ligas Negras?, y las fechas”.
Amigo Chide…: 1) No tomes en cuenta a los culopicosos de tanta comezón en la raya negra, trasera y maloliente. Nuestra MLBWAA fundada el 14 de octubre de 1908, hace 113 años, es considerada por la oficina del comisionado, por la Major League Players Association y por el Hall de la Fama, como una de las organizaciones del beisbol más respetables, de mayores méritos, por su honestidad y seriedad en cuanta misión emprendemos. Respecto a mí, recibí un Tributo ante el Congreso de Estadios Unidos en 1997, por mi labor en favor de las relaciones entre periodistas y gente del beisbol de Estados Unidos y Latinoamérica.

Amigo Lucho…: Han sido dos, Frank Thomas y Edgar Martínez… Y no, Abreu no merece tales honores.
Amaury Curriel W. de Los Mochis, pregunta…: “¿Cree Ud. que los shortstops Willie Miranda y José Valdivielso hubieran jugado en Grandes Ligas ahora?”.
Amigo Mauro…: No hubieran jugado. Willie bateó para 222 en nueve temporadas, hasta 1959; y José, en cinco años, para 219, hasta 1961.
Santiago M. Gutiérrez, de Caracas, pregunta…: “Soy muy joven, por lo que no ví jugar a Hank Aaron. ¿Es verdad que casi no hacía el swing, y que bateaba a base puras muñecas?”.
Amigo Chago…: Sí hacía el swing, pero, aparentemente, sin mucha fuerza. El mayor poder suyo sí estaba en las muñecas, que movía de manera muy especial.
