Baseball and Poetry, the Divine Couple – Beisbol y Poesía, la Divina Pareja

Coral Gables, Florida. (VIP-WIRE) – The flag waves high above, in center field, an expression of a happy country because it plays sports.

But when they hit a triple, everyone on the field is in a hurry.

Ground balls are circling the infield.

There’s no such thing as a poor big leaguer, just like the saying, “because of the sausage, there’s no bean stew, miss.”

The ecstasy of baseball consists of nine innings… But if you behave, they play a few extra innings.

The official scorer is The Unknown Historian.

The stadium is a monster that swallows thousands of fans, digests them, processes them, lets them have fun, and then, after three or four hours, expels them.

The fan, for the ballplayer, is like fuel for a jet.

The fans are the bees of a hive called the playing field.

During a double play, the action is a ballet set to fast-paced chamber music.

A triple play… that is, everyone out!

A foul ball is a ball that fears the fielders.

There is no greater joy for the closer than the final out of the game.

When they hit a triple, everyone on the field is in a hurry.

Ballplayers arrive in the Major Leagues, getting paid for what they promise to do; shortly after, they get paid for what they are doing; and finally, they end up getting paid for what they have already done.

Joe DiMaggio failed as Marilyn Monroe’s husband because no one can succeed at two national pastimes at the same time.

Joe DiMaggio said: “Marilyn Monroe was better than all the roommates I had during my big league career.”

Baseball is a poem set to the music of batted balls.

In baseball, the man scores; in other sports, the ball.

And the best person to talk about baseball is the ball itself.

When God doesn’t want to watch baseball, it rains.

The Devil invented domed stadiums.

The rookie has to make his way through the footprints left by the veterans.

There’s still terrible discrimination… They never play with black balls.

The announcer describes what he sees, and his listeners guess what he feels.

Thanks to life, for giving me so much, including a reader like you.

Beisbol y Poesía, la Divina Pareja

Coral Gables, Florida.
