They traded four minor league players for Marlins left-handed pitcher Ryan Weathers; they retained outfielder Cody Bellinger, with a five-year, $162.5 million contract; and veteran first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, signed to a one-year, $4 million deal.
“We’re where we’re supposed to be,” Judge said, “and I’m feeling great about my injuries, so I’ll play in four of the first five spring training games.”
Aaron hit a home run off the speedy Carlos Lagrange in batting practice. And besides him, he was accompanied by two other MVPs, Cody Bellinger and Giancarlo Stanton.

Manny Machado Tells Reporters: “I love what the Dodgers pay their players (at $395 million this year). The other teams should do the same.”
The Padres pay Manny $39.9 million annually, through 2033. An 11-year contract for a total of $350 million. And the total roster payroll is $260 million annually.
