NEW YORK, NY — The New York Knicks delivered one of the most dominant playoff performances in franchise history Sunday afternoon, blowing out the Philadelphia 76ers 144-114 at Xfinity Mobile Arena to complete a stunning four-game sweep and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second consecutive season.
Playing without injured forward OG Anunoby, the Knicks never showed signs of slowing down. Instead, they produced a historic offensive eruption led by Miles McBride, Jalen Brunson, and Karl-Anthony Towns while turning a hostile road environment into what sounded more like Madison Square Garden South.
McBride, inserted into the starting lineup in place of Anunoby, erupted early and finished with a postseason career-high 25 points while knocking down seven three-pointers.

The fourth-year guard buried his first five shots from beyond the arc as Knicks fans inside the arena showered him with loud “Deuuuuuce” chants throughout the afternoon.
Brunson added 22 points and six assists in just 28 minutes, continuing his remarkable postseason run as the Knicks stretched their winning streak to seven games. Towns once again served as the centerpiece of New York’s offense, finishing with 17 points and 10 assists while consistently breaking down Philadelphia’s defense with his passing and floor spacing.
New York opened the game with one of the greatest shooting quarters in NBA playoff history, drilling 11 three-pointers in the opening quarter which tied the NBA postseason record for most made threes in a playoff quarter while building a 43-24 lead after one.
By halftime, New York had already connected on 18 triples—matching another NBA playoff record—and carried an 81-57 advantage into the locker room.
The Knicks finished the game shooting 25-for-44 from beyond the arc, tying the NBA playoff record for most made threes in a postseason game.
Philadelphia never recovered from New York’s early avalanche despite a flawless offensive outing from Joel Embiid, who scored 24 points on 8-for-8 shooting. Tyrese Maxey added 17 points, but the Sixers struggled defensively throughout the game and were overwhelmed by New York’s pace, ball movement, and physicality.
The atmosphere inside the arena became one of the game’s biggest storylines as Knicks fans loudly overtook the building for much of the afternoon.
Following the loss, Maxey admitted the environment was difficult for Philadelphia to handle.
“It absolutely sucks, if I’m being honest,” he said. “It felt louder here for them than it did in the Garden.”
“Quite frankly, New York, they were just better than us in everything,” said Sixers star Joel Embiid, giving full credit to New York’s dominance.
The victory marks the Knicks’ first playoff series sweep since 1999 and sends them to consecutive Eastern Conference Finals appearances for the first time since 1999 and 2000.

First-year head coach Mike Brown, who replaced Tom Thibodeau before the season, praised his team’s maturity and focus throughout the postseason run and later gave props to fans for making the trip down to the City of Brotherly Love.
“I got a lot of respect for you, Knicks fans,” he said.
On that same topic, Brunson added “It’s one of the coolest things in the world hearing Knicks fans take over opposing arenas.”
Before the game, Brown cautioned against overlooking Philadelphia despite the 3-0 series lead.
“Philly’s a great team and they’re well coached,” Brown said pregame. “It’s going to be a dog fight.”
Instead, the Knicks delivered another statement performance and continued establishing themselves as one of the NBA’s most dangerous teams entering the conference finals.
