NEW YORK, NY — Jazz Chisholm Jr. traded the baseball diamond for the runway Thursday night, hosting the second annual “Tunnel Fits & Kicks” charity fashion event at Nebula NYC in Manhattan.

The event organized through the Jazz Chisholm Foundation, blended fashion, sports culture, and philanthropy into a fundraiser designed to support underprivileged children across New York, Florida, and The Bahamas.

The auctioned items and event proceeds will go toward charitable initiatives focused on youth development, mentorship, scholarships, and community support programs.

For Chisholm, the night represented far more than style and entertainment. The New York Yankees’ second baseman, a two-time MLB All-Star and 2025 American League Silver Slugger Award winner, used the event to reinforce a message centered on guidance, trust, and creating opportunities for young people who may lack access to resources and support systems.

During an interview at the event with Latino Sports Director of Community Development & Donor Engagement Maria Santos, Chisholm emphasized the importance of instilling values, trust, and attention into children and their development, calling them foundational pieces for building successful futures. He stressed that mentorship is not optional, but necessary, particularly for children navigating difficult circumstances.

“I’m not the future, I’m here right now,” he said, highlighting his belief that athletes and public figures should use their platforms to create change immediately rather than waiting for another moment.

Fashion served as the centerpiece of the evening, something Chisholm said made the fundraiser especially personal. Combining philanthropy with fashion had long been a goal of his, allowing him to merge his passion for style with a deeper purpose centered on giving back.

Born in Nassau, Bahamas, Chisholm, 28, has remained deeply connected to the communities that shaped him long before becoming an MLB star. That connection ultimately inspired the creation of the Jazz Chisholm Foundation, which focuses on underserved communities where opportunities may be limited but potential remains limitless.

The foundation operates across three key regions: New York, Florida, and the Bahamas. Supporting the local youth through athletics, scholarships, educational initiatives, and disaster relief programs to families who have been displaced due to climate change and or social economic issues.

Throughout the night, the focus consistently returned to one core message: helping the next generation now. As guests filled Nebula NYC for an evening celebrating fashion and culture, Chisholm’s mission stood at the center of the event.

Beyond the spotlight, sneakers, and cameras was a larger purpose—creating pathways for children to dream bigger and move further than their circumstances may allow.
