NEW YORK, NY — Nothing has come easy for Amanda Serrano. Nor was handed or given to “The Real Deal.”
The 37-year-old Puerto Rican boxing icon, a female trailblazer, breaking barriers for women’s sports, had to earn it. Every win and bit of respect over her notarized 17-year career in-and-out the ring.
This past Friday night at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California, while making history headlining the first-ever boxing event on TikTok Live, was no different.

Over 3,400,000 million TikTok viewers and 350,000+ viewers on MVP’s Youtube Channel tuned in live to watch Amanda Serrano’s majority decision win over Lucrecia Manzur Friday night at Pechanga Resort Casino, The Real Deal’s 50th professional career victory – Image Credit: Francisco Rodriguez/Latino Sports
“I knew she was tough. She’s young. She’s 27. She’s 10 years younger than me,” The MOAT (Most of All-Time) said in the ring after Serrano, hearing ‘And Still,’ came out victorious via a majority decision against Argentine Lucrecia Manzur to secure her 50th professional career win.
An all-out brutal war between Serrano (50-4-1, 32 KOs) and Manzur (14-5, 7 KOs) in Most Valuable Promotions’ main event with millions worldwide tuning in live on TikTok as well as MVP’s YouTube Channel.
“These girls are getting younger and stronger. Thank God I’m almost out of the game. Let them have fun, but it was truly an honor to be in there with a tough young fighter.”

Judges Martha Tremblay, Krysti Rosario and Fernando Villarreal at ringside had it 114-114, 116-112 and 116-112, respectively.
“I trained really hard because I knew it was an opportunity for her,” said Serrano, defending and retaining her unified WBA-WBO featherweight titles and Ring Magazine featherweight belt.
“I was told every time I’m given an opportunity, you seize that opportunity. I know all these girls who are fighting me are doing the same thing, so I had to come with my ‘A’ game.”

On what’s next for Amanda Serrano, The MOAT said Friday night after her career milestone of winning her 50th professional bout: “We still got that 33rd knockout. I got one more fight. If I don’t get it, I’m glad that I tied with Christy Martin.” – Image Credit: Francisco Rodriguez/Latino Sports
Out of Carolina, Puerto Rico, representing Brooklyn, New York, Serrano, seeking to make even more history by breaking the all-time women’s boxing knockout record—which she is currently tied with fellow women’s boxing legend Christy Martin for (32 KOs)—was unable to as the challenger and rising star Manzur, becoming the star of the night regardless of the final result, displayed what boxing is all about. Life too.
Taking the opportunity and making it yours.
“Tonight was a dream come true to go against a fighter like you,” said Manzur through a translator minutes after the San Miguel, Tucuman native of Argentina and Serrano hugged and circled the ring together with their heads and gloves held high to the crowd.
A championship ending to a historic night for the sport.
“As a boxer, everyone has dreams to go against their idols, and that’s what I did. Although I may be sad that my hand didn’t get raised tonight, it’s going to be (raised) another night.”

Her next night in the ring, Manzur will for sure have thousands and perhaps millions of more fans in her corner as a result of the WBO No. 2 contender’s warrior-like performance Friday night vs. the best of the best. And that’s also due to Serrano’s and Most Valuable Promotions’ willingness and continued-effort to provide Manzur and other more than worthy female fighters a platform to shine on.
“Thank you so much for the invite to be back with MVP,” she said. “A tremendous production, but of course, Amanda, thank you for taking on the fight. And in boxing, a lot of times the focus is just on the male fighters, but thanks to you, you’ve really helped put female boxing on a pedestal.”

On the mic as the final bell rung following 12 vicious championship rounds, Most Valuable Promotions ringside blow-by-blow commentator Corey Erdman provided a picture-perfect summary of the bout:
“No knockout tonight but what we got was an incredibly compelling fight, compelling boxing theater. The old champion trying to hold on. The young upstart trying to shock the world.”
