BROOKLYN, NY — Successfully blowing up like he thought he would, Juan Soto is now spreading love the Brooklyn way.
Earlier this week on Instagram, Soto, 27, of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, one of Under Armour’s most popular and iconic signature athletes, with over two million Instagram followers, made an announcement regarding his first-ever player exclusive cleat: the UA Yard Icon “La Fiera.”
And to officially celebrate The Beast launching Thursday, the three-time LatinoMVP Award winner appeared at Brooklyn’s City Line Park for a special meet-and-greet with fans and to host a youth baseball clinic.

Upon his arrival at City Line Field, Soto also surprised kids from The Police Athletic League of New York City and New York Empire Baseball by taking photos, signing autographs and gifting them with their own pairs of “La Fiera.”
“It brings me a lot of joy to see how they react and how’s everything, you know, because at some point in my life I was one of them,” the six-time Silver Slugger and five-time All-Star said.

“The multicolored cleat features vibrant blue, green, and purple hues that celebrate the culture and energy of the Dominican Republic while reflecting the electricity Juan brings to the field,” stated in a press release from Under Armour.
On the heel of each cleat, covered in tiger and jaguar inspired patterns—reflects a green logo of Soto “Soto Shuffling” centered in a purple circle—his famous move at the plate.
