GOING, GOING, GOING, JUAN!
Juan Soto recorded a hat trick last night in the New York Yankees’ 4-1 win over the Chicago White Sox, clobbering three home runs at Guaranteed Rate Field, and ending up responsible for all four runs driven in on the night.
The monumental evening marked the 25-year-old’s first-ever three home run game for his MLB career, which seems like over a decade long by now, yet the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native is only in year seven.

“It means a lot, it’s really fun,” said Soto on what the three-homer night means to him. “It’s really cool to see it, and even better to get the win.”

–Top of the third inning against Cannon: 360 foot two-run HR to left field, off the bat at 103.9 MPH
–Top of the fifth inning against Cannon: 416 foot solo-HR to left-center field, off the bat at 110.4 MPH
–Top of the seventh inning against LHP Fraser Ellard: 406 foot solo-HR right-center field, off the 105.1 MPH
–Top of the ninth inning against LHP Jared Shuster: walked, Soto’s 99th of the year
“All three of them were pretty impressive,” said Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone. “In watching Juan, I feel like I’m watching one of the best seasons I’ve ever seen.”

Soto’s three Tuesday blasts traveled at a combined distance of 1,176 feet, as he now has 33 homers on the season (two-shy of his career high: 35 in 2023), and 193 for his career.
“That’s who he (Soto) is, that’s why he is the best hitter in the game,” stated Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge. “He looks at a pitch in the zone, he’ll do damage, but if you don’t throw to him, he’ll let the next guy out there do his thing.”
On a separate note, according to Héctor Gómez, of Z101 Digital, the left-handed slugger became the 33rd Dominican-born MLB player to smash three home runs in a game, while Sammy Sosa leads the club with six (6) three home run career games, and Alex Rodriguez in second, with five (5).

Soto’s Chase To Homering In Each Ballpark
Prior to the game, Soto had yet to hit a home run at Guaranteed Rate Field in his career, making for one-of-three current MLB ballparks for him not to go yard in. With his three home runs on the Southside, the sole two remaining on his list are Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, and T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners. Two stadiums that the Yankees will each visit next month in separate three-game sets — September 2-4 in Texas, and September 17-19 in Seattle.
