NEW YORK, NY — Major League Soccer (MLS) today officially unveiled its new global headquarters at 2 Penn Plaza in Manhattan, marking a significant milestone in the league’s continued growth and evolution. The 126,000-square-foot, two-floor space establishes a central hub for league operations in the heart of New York City, one of the world’s leading sports and media capitals.

Purpose-built as a technology-enabled global operations center, the new headquarters embodies MLS’s ambition as it enters its next chapter, bringing together innovation, culture, and the energy of the game under one roof.

Designed by TPG Architecture, the space introduces an “office as a stadium” concept, an immersive environment inspired by the movement, intensity, and connectivity of the sport itself. From a tunnel-inspired “player arrival” entry to a central collaboration hub known as “Midfield,” the headquarters is designed to mirror the experience of matchday while fostering collaboration across teams.

The facility features more than 80 meeting and collaboration spaces and serves as the home of MLS’s Match Day Center Operations Hub, a centralized command center that monitors and supports all league matches in real time. Integrated digital signage throughout the office delivers live match data, ensuring the game remains ever-present for employees, partners, and visitors.

Throughout the space, MLS’ identity and history are brought to life through a blend of cutting-edge digital displays and curated memorabilia. Every club across the league is represented, reinforcing the “One League, All Clubs” ethos, while immersive installations celebrate MLS’s pillars of club, country, and community.

Design elements draw deeply from the sport itself, from lighting inspired by the league’s original match ball to architectural forms influenced by pitch geometry and the MLS Cup trophy, creating a unified environment that connects employees to the game at every turn. The new headquarters underscores MLS’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and continued expansion as soccer’s popularity accelerates across North America.
