NEW YORK, NY — The Seattle Seahawks are officially atop of the National Football League for the second time in franchise history, winning Super Bowl LX over the New England Patriots by a final of 29-13 Sunday night at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

In what made for a defensive onslaught from Seattle’s side across four quarters, significantly overshadowed by Bad Bunny’s iconic Apple Music Halftime Show, New England was only able to muster up 79 total rushing yards while the Seahawks created problems for Patriots quarterback Drake Maye all night long—tossing two interceptions to go along with a costly fumble.

The first of two interceptions thrown by Maye, appearing at the 8:49 minute mark of the fourth quarter, landed in Julian Love’s hands, resulting in the most memorable play of his seven-year NFL career.

Prior to his clutch moment in Sunday’s big game, Love, 27, of Cuban-Mexican descent from Westchester, Illinois, had recorded 13 interceptions in the pros.

Only one interception in 2025 and just eight throughout his Seahawks tenure which began in 2023 after spending his first four NFL seasons with the New York Giants where he compiled his first five career picks from 2019-2022.

So with the stakes at an all-time high, what better time to add on to his career resume than on the world’s biggest stage of sports with millions tuned in around the globe?

“A dream come true, of course it is,” Love said of his fourth quarter interception after becoming a Super Bowl champion. “I’d be kidding you if I didn’t dream of that in the backyard when I was eight or nine years old. To see that ball in the air… it was right to me, the only thought in my mind was to catch it.”

On receiving the support from Latinos across the world:

“Thank you, it means a lot. I feel the love. My family feels the love and the support. I just love being able to be me to the fullest.”
