RIVERSIDE, CA — This past Saturday, September 14th, UFC Noche was hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada at The Sphere and the venue looked amazing. On the weekend of Mexican Independence Day, the UFC paid tribute to Mexico’s colorful culture and rich history, a nation built on resilience, courage, and an indomitable fighting spirit.
During the monumental night, the UFC proudly celebrated these values, showcasing the force and passion that define Mexican people and UFC’s phenomenal athletes. Let us recap what took place this past weekend:
Prelim Fights
- Norma Dumont defeated Irene Aldana by unanimous decision
- Ignacio Bahamondes defeated Manuel Torres by TKO in Round 1
- Ketlen Souza defeated Yazmin Jauregui by submission in Round 1
- Joshua Van defeated Edgar Chairez by unanimous decision
- Raul Rosas Jr. defeats Aoriqileng by unanimous decision
UFC Noche Main Card – Rodriguez vs. Osbourne
Ronaldo Rodriguez defeated Ode Osbourne by unanimous decision. In the first round, Rodriguez was taken down by a counter right hook and trapped deep in a triangle choke, but he managed to survive and win the fight. Rodriguez rallied in the second round and ended up on top in the third. His tenacious comeback earned him a unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards, sealing his second UFC victory.
Zellhuber vs. Ribovics
The whole fight was an intense back and forth kickboxing bout, Esteban Ribovics was able to pull off the win against Daniel Zellhuber. Both fighters had a chance at victory in an exciting third with Ribovics rallying after being hurt by Zellhuber. The closely contested fight ended in a split decision, with Ribovics coming out on top.
Ortega vs. Lopes
Diego Lopes displayed a dominant performance to defeat Brian Ortega, solidifying his spot in the featherweight division. Lopes hurt Ortega early with heavy punches and shifted his attention to attacking the legs in the second round.

Lopes controlled the whole fight, finishing Ortega in the closing moments securing the win. Extending his win streak (5) will move him into the top five of the rankings.
Grasso vs. Shevchenko
Valentina Shevchenko reclaimed the women’s flyweight title with a dominant game plan against Alexa Grasso. With a heavy wrestling approach Shevchenko took down Grasso and dominated the ground fight for the entire five rounds. Shevchenko showcased her superior grappling skills. This victory makes her the first two-time women’s flyweight champion in UFC history.
O’Malley vs. Dvalishvili
Merab Dvalishvili defeated Sean O’Malley by unanimous decision. Dvalishvili captured the UFC bantamweight title by neutralizing O’Malley with his aggressive style and persistent wrestling. Dvalishvili kept the fight on the ground, maintaining top control to limit O’Malley’s striking opportunities.

O’Malley never found his rhythm as Dvalishvili’s pressure suffocated him, dictated his pace. The unanimous decision win continues Dvalishvili’s streak (11), earning him the bantamweight championship.
