Pedro Martínez, Hispanic with Most Strikeouts
In the 156-year history of Major League Baseball, the Latin American with the most strikeouts is the Dominican, Pedro Martínez, who struck out 3,154 batters. He surpasses Bob Gibson (3,117) and Curt Schilling (3,116).
Only 14 pitchers have achieved a higher number than Pedro, two of them active: Justin Verlander of the Tigers and Max Scherzer of the Blue Jays.
By the way, Scherzer just surpassed Walter Johnson.
